Spyro Reignited Trilogy – Review

Spyro Reignited Trilogy is a ground up remake of the original Spyro games, and they are incredibly well made games, with a lot of work done to bring it up to modern standards. Spyro Reignited Trilogy contains the original three games, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. They are immensely fun 3D action platformers, and they look fantastic, feel great to play, and bring back the good old memories of playing the games for the first time back in the day.

The port work is impeccable – I had no performance with maxed out settings at 1080p. Plus, the games handles well on both a controller or a keyboard and mouse. There’s also a lot to explore, and secrets to discover. The movement and combat feels great, though the combat is hardly the focus here. Overall, a great package and a solid PC port.

Pros:
Looks great
Well optimized
Really fun to play
Good humor

Cons:
Combat is simplistic

Score – 8.5/10
