Airtel Launching a 7inch Android 2.2 Tablet – Beetel Magiq

Beetel Magiq Android TabletLast We Reliance Launched a Android Tablet in alliance with a Chinese manufacturer ZTE called the ‘Reliance 3G Tab’ but Airtel, with Beetel, now Bharti Group, has joined the bandwagon with it’s new specs  Beetel Magiq.

The Beetel Magiq tablet comes with a price-tag of Rs.9,999 . This tablet is Rs.3000 cheaper, compared to the Reliance tablet, but it runs on the old Android Froyo OS. The company also announced that, the Beetel Magiq will be soon upgraded to the Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. It also comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty.

The Company though has promised Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the tablet but we will just like to inform you and them that Android 3.0 Honeycomb is the tablet Optimized version for Android that differentiates between tablet and Phone, even after the Android 2.3 update it will still be a 7inch Phone. The best part about the tablet is that it’s running Android which you can easily root and install Android 3 your self with some simple DIY guides from the internet as Google has recently released android 3.2 which makes Android Honeycomb compatible with smaller tablets.

Since the Beetel and Airtel are the part of the Bharti Group, customers will get a free Airtel pre-paid or postpaid connection with the purchase of this tablet. Customers will also get 2 GB of 3G data for 2 months. This tablet will soon hit the Indian market.
