Recently HTC UK on their Facebook page said that due to Memory Issues HTC Desire Will not be getting the Android 2.3 update but Guess what, they have announced that HTC desire will indeed be getting the Android 2.3 Update. Now this is what we call a company that listens to it’s customer no unlike Motorola and HTC who first say they will give the update and when people buy the phone they announce that it will not get the update.
This incident also indicates that this is the last update for the HTC desire but we believe that it’s fair as Android 2.3 is the last Update most of the phone available today will get as Google said that icecream will be bringing Android 3.0 HoneyComb Features to Phones (that will require some Strong Processing power like dual core).
If you are wondering When will HTC Desire India get the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update well that is expected to be around July end or August.
HTC will exclude some default Android Apps from the HTC Desire Android 2.3 Gingerbread Update to solve the Memory Issue, but you can get them via Android Market and install them on the SD Card.
