Apple has finally upgraded the Macbook Air and Mac Mini Line up, Apple Claims that the new Macbook Air is 2.5 times faster than the older version and that to without losing the slim profile and on the other hand Mack Mini is also claimed to be twice as fast as the Older version . As expected the newer version of the Macbook Air are now running latest Intel 2nd Generation of processors code named Sandy Bridge. Macbook Air 2011 – What’s Changed
The 11inch Model is running the 1.6/1.8GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB/4MB shared L3 cache and 2GB Ram on board and comes in two variants on HDD space 64GB and 128GB (Can be Upgraded to 256GB Flash Drive).
The 13inch Model has a 1.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB shared L3 cache and 4GB Ram out of the box and also comes in two variants on HDD space 128GB and 256GB.
Previously both the 11inch 13 inch Models were Running and were running NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor with 256MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory the latest version of the Mackbook Airs are running the Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB of DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory the same one found in the current Macbook Pro.
The last version of the Macbook Air did not have keyboard back lighting that many user demanded and missed, it seems that Apple listened to their fans and have added the keyboard back lighting.
There are two versions of mac mini and one Sever Version.
As you can see the in the above pictures all the core to duo have be replaced by the latest Sandy bridge Dual Cores and Quad Cores. And Nvidia Geforce with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and the latest AMD Radeon’s.
All Latest Macbook Airs and Mac Mini will come preloaded with OS X Lion so don’t have to worry about upgrading.
