THURSDAY, November 11, (News Locale) – Dell has announced the launch of two Android-based 3G smartphones in India. Called Dell XCD35 and Dell XCD28, the new Dell smartphones have affordable price tags and are expected to provide stiff competition to the likes of HTC, Nokia, Samsung, LG and Micromax.
The Dell XCD35 has dimensions of 116 x 56.5 x 11.8 mm and weighs just 130 grams. It runs on Android 2.1 and is equipped with a 3.5-inch OLED, capacitive touchscreen of (480 x 800 pixel) WVGA resolution. Dell XCD35 has a 3 megapixel camera, MP3 player with FM radio and GPS with Satnav support. The handset is powered by a 600Mhz processor and boasts of 150MB of internal memory that is expandable up to 32GB with microSD card support. Connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The battery has a talk time of 4 hours and standby time of 9 days.
The Dell XCD35 has a price tag of Rs 16, 990 in India.
The Dell XCD28 measures 102 x 55 x 14.5 mm and weighs just 100 grams. The phone runs on Android 2.1(Eclair) and has a 2.8-inch resistive touchscreen with 240×320 pixels resolution. The XCD28 has a 3.15MP camera as well as 256MB of RAM and 256MB of ROM. The phone runs on a 600MHz processor with connectivity options of 3G and Wi-Fi.
The Dell XCD28 has a price tag of Rs.10,990 in India.
