Are you facing/ Faced any of the Following problems With you iPhone/ iPod/ iPad Battery?
- iPhone/ iPod/ iPad Battery is not charging beyond a Point
- iPhone/ iPod/ iPad Battery still being discharged even when plugged to the charger
- iPhone/ iPod/ iPad Battery Discharging Very Quickly
If you are facing/ have faced any of such problems then no need to worry just follow the following steps.
Step 1 – Check Your Charger and Data Cable
Connect your iPhone/ iPod/ iPad to the Computer if it charges fine then its time order a new charger also if you have a another iPhone/ iPod/ iPad/ iPod/ iPad which are working fine try the cable on those devices or their cable on your iPhone/ iPod/ iPad. If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 2 – Hard Reset
Press and hold the home button and the power button together until the silver apple logo is shown on screen [First the “Slide to Power Off” message will appear and then the screen will go blank and then the apple logo will appear]. Once the apple logo appears you can release the buttons, If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 3: Disable Push for your accounts.
To disable Push you need to go to Settings -> Mail,Contacts,Calendars -> Fetch New Data. Turn Push off and set the fetch interval to whatever you desire. If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 4 – Removing Bad Apps
Delete all Apps(both app store and cydia apps) you have on your phone one by one till the problem is fixed as there is a possibility that one the apps has gone rouge, uninstalling and then reinstalling could Fix the Issue, If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 5 – Reset All Settings
Reset your settings. Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. (Don’t Do this if you use ultrasn0w to unlock your phone) This step will remove whatever leftover of the settings or Deleted Apps are causing the Problem, If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 6 – Let it Cool Down
This may sound ODD but it actually works, Power off your iPhone/ iPod/ iPad, Wrap it in a plastic sheetand keep it in the freezer for 20 seconds or a minute in the fridge or some place very cool. What this will do is cool down your battery so that it can work normally again. If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 7 – Restore Firmware/ update to Latest Firmware
Connect your iPhone/ iPod/ iPad to iTunes, and click on Update but if you have the latest firmware click on restore. This will be a little time consuming but works most of the time. If this doesn’t work then proceed to next step.
Step 8 – Replace your Battery / iPhone/ iPod/ iPad
If None of the above steps then you would have to replace your the batter of your device or if it is still in warranty you can get it replaced altogether.
