HTC ( & T-Mobile) have started rolling out Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) update in the US for HTC Sensation. That’s not HTC is giving out, HTC is also doing what they do best, they have also upgraded the UI of the device to Sense 3.6.
HTC is running a little late behind their promised scheduled in giving out the updates, may have alleged HTC and T-Mobile of deliberately delaying the update to promote their newly launched HTC One Series phones. T-Mobile has denied it all and claim that they had refused the update and it did not qualify in their rigorous tests and hence had send it back to HTC for improvement which caused the delay (better late than never eh).
HTC Amaze 4G is next in Line for the ICS update and will be getting it in a day or two.
HTC users in India and around the world must be wondering when their device will be getting the update, we do not have confirmed dates but HTC did promise to start rolling out updates from May’12 so in the words of every PR update is ‘Coming Soon’.

HTC Sensation 4G users who upgraded their did claimed that the phone no longer supports Free WiFi HotSpot feature though it can be enabled after rooting, HTC rep did claim it to be a bug and not done deliberately which will be fixed in the future updates. So much for not qualifying quality tests!
