Micromax has recently launched a new/ their first phone in India called the X259 that has an in Built Solar Panel which enables the users to charge their phone using Solar Energy/ sun light. The X259 is priced at Rs 2,499 and will be very suitable for the rural part of India where power cuts can last longer than 22 hours a day.

Micromax C259 has a 2.4inch display with the resolution of 240 x 320 px, 0.3 MP camera, Dual SIM Option, GPRS, Bluetooth, FM Radio, music player, solar panel, Mi-Zone, Mi-Store, 4 GB expandable memory, up to 4.5 hours of talk-time, up to 200 hours of standby time. It has a 1000mAh battery that will keep your phone powered when not in direct contact with sunlight (yes, there is also a wall charger option to!).
