If the Year was 2008 or even mid 2009 and if Nokia had then Launched this phone for 30,oooINR it would have been totally worth it. Which they did too and it was called the N900 and without much publicity or support from Nokia (which no phone has ever got) the phone did well and the developer community took good care of this phone. But the Year is 2011 and Nokia has introduced a New phone called the E7 (with outdated hardware and Operating System). Well let us look at the specs and then we will tell you why its not worth the price

Now I will not say anything about the looks of the device as it appeals differently to different people (to me N8 and E7 both look like a cheap iPhone 4 copy). This Phone runs the Outdated, slow and very cheap looking Symbian OS which is very FAR behind the Google’s Android and Apple’s iOS, even Windows Phone 7 is a better operating system than this one ( I guess this is why this the last High end Symbian Phone by Nokia and after that Windows Phone 7 and Meego are their Favorites). Being Outdated, slow and ugly isnt the only problem with this operating system, Since Nokia has announced its alliance with Microsoft and have declared Windows Phone 7 as their Primary OS there is not much of a future for this phone, that is, No future bug fixes, no future and Apps no nothing for this phone.
The phone runs on a 680 MHz ARM 11 CPU and 256 MB RAM if u buy a phone with similar features it will cost in between 14K to 23K INR. The 8MP camera is also not that good, Nokia has put in this camera with Fixed Focus i.e. no Auto Focus now that came the photography experience BAD and to make matters even worse even the Camera User Interface is outdated.
This phone is Slow and will give you the occasional lag ( a little more than ignorable) and will hang some times, what would you usually do when your phone does that to you? You take out the battery and put it back (unless you have an iPhone with an irremovable battery, nor does it hang) While copying the Front site of the iPhone with a single home button wasn’t enough, they also made this phone with an irreplaceable battery.
If this phone was prices at around 21,000INR even then I would have still recommended you the Motorola Milestone or the HTC Desire or the Samsung Galaxy SL but it would have still justified the hardware Nokia put in.
Here a Summary of Points that make this phone(Nokia E7 and N8) not worth the price
Outdated, Slow and Ugly Operating System and User Interface
Camera has the same problem with every Fixed Focus Camera – Anything closer than 50 cm and you can kiss any semblance of sharpness goodbye.
Outdated Hardware as compared the other phones available in the market
With Nokia Going All windows do not expect expect any Version upgrades or many Apps from the Ovi Store and don’t even think it can get WP7 as it doesnt even come near in meeting the Hardware requirements.
TOO over prices, you can get phones starting from 14,000INR with similar hardware.
Here are a few Phones with Way better OS, UI and Hardware and that to at a Cheaper Price
