Samsung has Set 2nd November 2011 as the date for Launching the Galaxy Note in India. Samsung had announced the last month at the IFA along the Galaxy Tab 7.7.
Galaxy Note has been designed to be a hybrid between Mobile phones and tablets and hence it’s makers call it ‘Freedom from multiple devices’. It has a 5.3 inch display which makes it some what part of the tablet category but since it also has Telephony and SMS features it also falls under the smartphone category (yes, like the Dell Streak).
The Galaxy Note has a 5.3″ WXGA (1280×800) screen (285ppi) and comes with a stylus, the S Pen (Simillar to HTC Flyer Pen?) that works with dedicated apps (S Planner, S Memo, etc.). It runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread but since Ice Cream Sandwich has been released we can see an official update few week after the launch, the same beefed up Exynos chipset as the Tab 7.7 (dual-core 1.4GHz CPU, 1GB RAM, Mali-400MP GPU). However, its camera is much better at 8MP with 1080p video recording. The Galaxy Note measures 9.65mm of thickness and 178 grams of weight. It’s battery is 2,500mAh (one very Big Battery)
There will be a selection of accessories for the Samsung Galaxy Note – a pen holder for the S Pen stylus, a dock and even a car holder.
